Newell named Libertarian Party chair

The New York State Libertarian Party announces the appointment of Lora Newell as Temporary Chairperson for Schoharie County.
As temporary chair, Ms. Newell will be responsible for establishing the Schoharie County Chapter of the New York Libertarian Party.
The Libertarian Party is the third largest and fastest growing political party in the United States.
Libertarians aim to emphasize a commitment to free-market principles, civil rights, personal freedom, non-interventionism, peace and free trade.
Ms. Newell, who lives in Sharon Springs, is a farmer and operates Serenity Valley Farm. She is active in the community and presently serves as president of the Sharon Springs Free Library, vice president of the Sharon Springs Citizens' Council for the Arts and secretary of the Sharon Springs Chamber of Commerce.
