Farm plan meetings this Wednesday, also January 20
1/10/2017 |
Schoharie County's agriculture will get another look at a pair of hearings planned for tonight, Wednesday, January 11, and next Friday, January 20.
Tonight's meeting will be at 7pm at the Cooperative Extension in Cobleskill.
The meeting on the 20th will be held at the Board of Supervisors' meeting room in Schoharie and begins at 9:15am.
Both are part of the process to update the county's 16-year-old Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan.
Hearing and meetings on the plan, which looks at agriculture's strengths and weaknesses and sets out plans for guiding ag policies in the future, began more than a year ago.
At these meetings, Nan Stolzenburg of Community Planning and Environmental Associates will give a presentation about the updated plan and take comments.
The updated draft plan is available online on the Schoharie County website under both "announcements" on the main page and on the Planning and Development Agency page under "agriculture."
