3/21/2017 |
On Sunday, March 26, at 2pm, at the Middleburgh Library, Peacemakers of Schoharie County will present the documentary, "Requiem for the America Dream: Noam Chomsky and the Principles of Concentration of Wealth & Power."
The 73-minute film will be repeated at the Community Library in Cobleskill, Thursday, April 6, 6pm, downstairs.
Presented by Peacemakers in its Peace & Justice Forum series, each viewing will be followed by discussion and refreshments.
In the film, Noah Chomsky discusses the coordinated campaign to concentrate wealth and power in the hands of a select few by articulating 10 fundamental principles that perpetuate this cycle.
He also provides insight into the demise of democracy and erosion of opportunity.
