Sign up now for free smoke alarms, installation

8/1/2018

The Schoharie County Office of Emergency Services and the American Red Cross are joining forces to hand out 250 free smoke alarms to families in need.
As part of the Red Cross’s Sound the Alarm, Save a Life Campaign, the OES is signing up families who’d like a free smoke alarm installed by volunteers on Saturday, August 25, between 9am and 3pm.
Contact the OES at (518) 295-2276 to be put on the list. Staff will take basic contact information and then set up a time for installation closer to the 25th.
The one-day event is part of an effort to provide lifesaving fire safety education to local families.
