The theft of the money was not discovered until later in the day after the female suspect had left.
During the resulting investigation, the female suspect was identified as Brittany L. Bailey, and several US Postal Service uniforms were recovered from her possession.
Ms. Bailey was charged with petit larceny and second-degree criminal impersonation, both of which are class A misdemeanors.
Ms. Bailey was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Cobleskill Court on October 16 at 5pm.
