Cobleskill-Richmondville Superintendent Carl Mummenthey received a raise from the school board last week.
Board members agreed to hikes that bring Mr. Mummenthey’s salary to $165,101 this school year.
School board President Bruce Tryon explained that the board unanimously agreed to a 3.2-percent raise effective last July 1 and a ‘leadership longevity payment’ of $5,000 effective this past November 1, bringing the total package to the current figure.
Board members’ unanimous, 7-0 vote, shows their faith in Mr. Mummenthey’s talents, Mr. Tryon said.
“In the five years that Carl has been our superintendent, he clearly has demonstrated his commitment to educate, inspire and empower each C-R student as our strategic mission implies,” Mr. Tryon said.
“Carl works tirelessly for the students, staff and community. His professionalism and knowledge have gained the respect of his peers, and he is admired and consulted by many in education.”
