Cobleskill could have answer to court parking

Cobleskill could have a solution to parking problems at its often-packed Town Court.
Supervisor Leo McAllister said the Schoharie County Board of Supervisors’ Building and Grounds Committee has given a preliminary OK to his request to upgrade county-owned land across Mineral Springs Road from the court.
The project would involve grading the site and then putting down netting and eight inches of crusher run, he said.
The Fairgrounds could also use the site for Fair parking, he said, and could help with some of the work—though not with plowing in the winter.
Parking for 20 spots would cost from $6,000-$10,000, Mr. McAllister said, and there’s room for 40 cars.
Access to the court would be via crosswalks; lighting and plowing are two issues that still need to be sorted out, he said.
