Garden Party coming to Sharon

5/22/2019

Sharon Springs will host its ninth annual Garden Party this Saturday and Sunday.
Hours are 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.
The weekend features artisans, gardening presentations and displays, entertainment, carriage rides, a children’s play area, pony rides, food and more. Nearly 80 vendors and crafters will be displaying their wares through the village.
There will be many family-friendly activities, and also––living up to its name––much to do with gardening and the outdoors.
New this year is the Garden Shop, Seed and Plant Exchange at the Sharon Springs Free Library.
Speakers during the weekend will include Fred Breglia from the Landis Arboretum, Montgomery County Ag Society director Agnes Rodd, Dancing Farmer Jay Lavery and Master Gardener Ron Ketelsen.
Musical acts will be Cosby Gibson, who’ll perform historic songs of 1800s lumberjacks; Broadway pianist Kevin Finn-Padilla, classical guitarist Nemo and harpist Lydia Zotto.
Parking is limited, so visitors should use free parking and shuttle service at Sharon Springs Central School on Route 20, the Sharon Springs Public Library on Main Street or Sunnycrest Orchards on Route10.
The Sharon Springs Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Garden Party.
