Caroga Lake Festival coming to Cobleskill

7/31/2019

The Caroga Lake Music Festival will journey to Cobleskill to present its fifth annual orchestral concert at St, Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Thursday, August 8, beginning at 7pm with a meet and greet reception to follow.
Admission by donation.
According to Kyle Barrett Price, founder, executive and artistic director, the goal of the Caroga Lake Music Festival is not only to attract music-lovers to Caroga Lake, but to bring chamber music, Broadway show tunes, and other classical selections to places like Cobleskill.
The eighth season of the Caroga Lake Music Festival began July 15 and runs through August 17.
This year’s group includes more than 25 young professional musicians.
Mr. Price has been playing cello since he was big enough to hold the instrument and earned his doctoral degree at the University of Wisconsin in 2018.
He’s worked to bring musicians to the Adirondacks in a five-week residency and established a year-round series of interactive programs for children and adults.
The Caroga Arts Collective, the administrative arm of the non-profit Caroga Lake Music Festival, plans to create a Collaborative Music Education Center in Caroga Lake.
