SALT awards fall and winter grants

SALT Development has announced its fall and winter round of grant awards through its Community Development Fund.
Eligible organizations include local nonprofits, community, service and faith-based groups and organizations and include youth-led projects.
Youth projects were eligible for up to $250, Community Development Projects for up to $500.
Grant awards were provided to:
The Sharon Springs Youth Commission for assisting in the repairs of the community baby pool.
The Joshua Project Furniture Project for assistance in purchasing mattresses and furniture for Schoharie County residents.
The Central Bridge Civic Association for assistance in purchasing playground equipment.
Girl Scouts Bronze Award, a youth-led project by Girl Scout Madelyn Bruno for assistance in completing her Bronze Award.
This project is to provide a train table for the Schoharie Free Library for children ages two to 10 years of age.
SALT Development also provided assistance to the newly established Market on Main through its Schoharie Main Street Projects.
The SALT Community Development Fund is an effort to provide needed funds for continued development in Schoharie County.
This is the third round of funding.
