IDA kicks off $150,000 Micro-Enterprise Grant Program

The Schoharie County Community Development Services and Schoharie County Industrial Development Agency are kicking off a CDBG Micro-enterprise Grant Program using a $150,000 Community Development Block Grant from New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
The grant awards will be $5,000-$25,000 for qualifying businesses.
The grants are intended for start-up and expanding micro businesses: five or fewer employees, one or more of whom may be the owner of the business.
Job creation for low-to-moderate income person(s) is a priority.
Special consideration is given to businesses located on a main street or central business district and agri-businesses.
An approved current small business training course is required.
