Final week for CPI's Eat & Shop Local Contest

5/6/2020

There’s one week left to win cash and gift certificates and help Cobleskill businesses at the same time.
This is the final week of Cobleskill Partnership Inc.’s “Eat & Shop Local Contest,” which asks residents to shop at participating businesses, keep track of those businesses and save receipts.
The Times-Journal published the contest each week since April 15, and it ends next Wednesday, the 13th.
“The purpose was to financially help the Cobleskill businesses who have all had to scramble to figure out how to survive during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said T-J Sales Manager Bruce Tryon, also Cobleskill Partnership’s vice president.
“The contest also showcases the great restaurants and businesses in and around Cobleskill.”
There will be two grand prize winners: One for the most participating businesses visited and one for the highest dollar amount in receipts.
Those playing Eat & Shop Local should save their receipts and cross out the businesses visited on the entry form.
All entry forms and receipts should be turned in to the Times-Journal. Although the office is closed to the public during the pandemic, there’s a mail slot to the left of the front door on Division Street.
Sponsors for Eat & Shop Local are Cobleskill Partnership Inc., the Cobleskill Rotary Club and the Times-Journal.
“I want to personally thank them for supporting the contest and helping local businesses,” Mr. Tryon said.
Rules and the entry form for Eat & Shop Local are on page 20 of this week's T-J.
