Friday's December to Remember will kick off holidays

Cobleskill will get in the holiday spirit with the second annual December to Remember celebration this Saturday.
A parade, tree-lighting, festivities at the Sunshine Fairgrounds and a closing sing-along are all part of the fun.
The parade will set up near the Cobleskill Diner at 4pm and march down Main Street at 5pm.
With Santa and Mrs. Claus in a wagon from HBH Clydesdales, the parade will pause at Veterans’ Memorial Centre Park for the tree-lighting, with a choir from Cobleskill-Richmondville High School performing.
Floats will continue to the Fairgrounds, where they will be on display around the track.
Also at the Fairgrounds:
•Decorated trees and a light tunnel will be at the entrance.
•Churches will have a nativity scene.
•Santa will meet with kids under the grandstand.
•Also under the grandstand, vendors will offer their wares.
•Hot chocolate and gingerbread will be available.
•Other food vendors will be on site.
•There will a booth for kids to write letters to Santa.
•WSDE will broadcast holiday music.
•Pastor Andrew Fetter of Fusion Community Church will lead the closing sing-along at 8pm. All present can join in on the songs ‘Frosty the Snowman,’ ‘Silver Bells,’ ‘Joy to the World,’ ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Silent Night.’
