Federice re-elected to lead Board of Supervisors

With little fanfare, Schoharie County supervisors re-elected Bill Federice as chairman and Harold Vroman of Summit as vice chair at their reorganizational meeting Monday.
This is Mr. Federice’s third year in the top post.
Sandy Manko of Sharon and Phil Skowfoe of Fulton—the only two Democrats on the board--cast no vote for either position; new Richmondville Supervisor Jeff Haslun also cast no vote for vice chair.
Salaries for both positions are $50,000 annually.
In a slew of other appointments for 2022:
• Sheryl Largeteau was reappointed clerk of the board, auditor and purchasing agent at an annual salary of $66,949.
• Officials newspapers are the Times-Journal and Mountain Eagle.
• Mike West was reappointed county attorney at $48,845 annually.
• Deputy county fire coordinators are Dale Nunamann, Richard Cooper, Scott Johnson, Greg Baxter, Aaron Cooper, and Floyd Seales.
• Denise Minton was reappointed STOP DWI coordinator, and Ted Shuart was reappointed county historian.
• Seward Supervisor Earlin Rosa was named supervisors’ representative to SCCAP, Esperance Supervisor Earl VanWormer was reappointed supervisors’ rep to the Maple Festival, a position he’s held for more than 20 years, he said.
• Named to the Region IV Fish and Wildlife Management Board were: Fulton Supervisor Phil Skowfoe, Summit Supervisor Harold Vroman, Carl Stefanik, Michael Zeh, and David Wood.
Mr. Skowfoe was also reappointed to the Community Services Board and Mr. Vroman to the Human Services Coordinating Council.
• Gilboa Supervisor Alicia Terry and Summit Supervisor Harold Vroman were named to the Soil & Water Conservation District Board.
• Richmondville Supervisor Jeff Haslun was named to the Jury Board and a law library trustee, both positions held by his predecessor, Richard Lape.
• Appointed as members of the Adirondack Appalachian Regional Emergency Medical Services were: Ben Louch, Howard Huth, Ed Brandt, Joseph Luz, and Pete Nichols.
• Appointed to the Schoharie County Search and Rescue Team were:
Broome Fire Department—James Moutray, Mike Kossow, Judyth Tiffany, and Ken Tiffany.
Carlisle FD--Greg Baxter, Stacey Wojciechowski, Debra Daly, Larry Daly, Devan Smida, Curtis Smida, Robert Paquette, and Brad Mattice.
Central Bridge FD--Tyrone Mitchell, and Doreen Falk.
Cobleskill FD—Aaron Filmer, James Belfiore, and CJ Peterson.
Conesville FD—Richard Carr.
Esperance FD—Jason Castle, Dennis Miller, Lori Buccino, and Michelle Sparacin.
Gallupville FD—William Haley.
Huntersland FD—Mike Walsh, and Richard Hildebrandt Jr.
Middleburgh FD—William Winton.
Richmondville FD—George Hotaling, and Floyd Seales.
Schoharie FD—Tom Bielawski, and Jackson Goodman,
West Fulton FD—Amber DeLaet.
