Anti-mask, anti-vax Strength in Numbers group plans Saturday rally

1/27/2022

Strength in Numbers, a group organized locally “to assert our civil liberties and Constitutional rights during these changing times,” will hold a rally in Cobleskill’s Veterans’ Memorial Centre Park this Saturday at noon.
Strength in Numbers was organized after Cobleskill resident Joe Tracy created a Facebook group opposing COVID health mandates including masks and vaccines to “change the direction of our government through education, letter-writing, pamphletting, attending peaceful protests, and lobbying elected and appointed officials, as well as by other means,” according to a press release.
The rally will feature speakers including Assemblyman Chris Tague, Bryan Ludwig, Joe Mastroianni from the John Birch Society, Cobleskill-Richmondville school bus driver Holly Shamansky and others.
According to Strength in Numbers’ press release, they are “part of the resistance to forcing unconstitutional health mandates on the citizens of New York.
“We uphold each individual’s right to make decisions that express their personal choices regarding their health and well-being.
“We support the rights and responsibilities of parents to protect and care for their children as they see fit.
“We believe it’s time to have our voices heard and to join forces with others in the pursuit of sustaining freedom and truth.”
