Beverages on the Bridge in Schoharie Saturday

5/19/2022

Schoharie Promotional Association will present its inaugural Beverages on the Bridge event from 1-4pm this Saturday, May 21, on the Fox Creek covered bridge in Schoharie.
The event will highlight the picturesque bridge, the original of which served as an artery to the Village of Schoharie and communities beyond Fox Creek, as indicated by its old road sign that reads “five miles to Middleburgh.”
Located at the intersection of Routes 30 and 443, the historic structure was restored as a walking bridge by Schoharie Kiwanis and Camp Summit in 1982.
It remains popular with visitors and also serves as an entrance to the Schoharie Lily Park, which is maintained by volunteers from the nonprofit Schoharie Promotional Association.
A number of local businesses, breweries, wineries and distilleries will be offering samples and sales of their products on the bridge.
Sweets and cheese samples will also be offered, and a food truck will be onsite, along with musical entertainment.
Admission and parking are free, and the event will be held rain or shine.
