Cops charge one with underage sale of alcohol

State Police have charged one person at the Yogi Food, Route 20, Esperance, with unlawful dealing with a child in the first degree, a Class A misdemeanor, for reportedly selling alcohol to someone under the age of 21 following a May 28 Underaged Drinking Enforcement Detail in Schoharie County.
A total of 21 businesses were checked.
During investigations, establishments are checked using a plain clothes Trooper and one or several underage “operatives” who cannot lie about their age or give a false date of birth.
When asked for ID, they show their real ID.

• Dollar General, 393 East Main Street, Richmondville.
