Get ready to celebrate the 4th

Cobleskill and Sharon Springs are hosting Independence Day celebrations in the next few days.
Cobleskill’s will be on Saturday, and Sharon Springs’, on Monday the 4th.
Sharon Springs will be the site for the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce parade, which will feature floats and entries from around the county.
The parade will start at 10am at Dairyland on Route 20, march west to Chestnut Street and end at the school athletic field.
There will be a food truck at the athletic field.
The Chamber is still accepting entries for the parade and also volunteers to help on the 4th.

Cobleskill will have a parade at 6pm on Saturday, and it will start at Campus Drive and proceed west on Main Street to Veterans’ Memorial Centre Park.
Fireworks will be touched off at 9pm from behind Price Chopper.
The Friends of the Fourth are asking for donations to pay for the fireworks. Checks can be made out to Friends of the Fourth and dropped off at NBT Bank in Cobleskill.
Donations not needed this year will be saved for next year’s celebration.
