The Cobleskill Richmondville High School Social Studies Department has been inspired by Teaching Assistant Kathleen Johnson to create a display that honors C-R alumni who have served or who are serving in the United States Military.
The goal is to receive 3-inch-by-5-inch photos of these alumni and place them in the display case outside the Social Studies Wing.
The exhibit will also note the year of graduation, years of service, rank, and what branch of service each alum was involved in.
C-R has always had a strong tradition of graduates who join the various military and recognizes those who have enrolled at graduation.
In order to purchase the materials needed for this display, the Cobleskill Richmondville Education Foundation awarded a grant to the department.
Students in Participation in Government classes and volunteers will be involved in creating the display case.
