2 arrested for breaking into 91 storage units

Tuesday, Princetown State Police arrested two people for breaking into storage units in Duanesburg.
Arrested were Edward A. Cruz Jr., 29, and Trista V. Lohmeyer, 28, both of Albany.
They were each charged with 91 counts of burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the fourth degree, four counts of conspiracy in the fifth degree, four counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, four counts of petit larceny, and criminal possession of a burglary tool.
According to State Police,
on November 1, 2022, at about 2:20pm, Troopers were contacted by Superior Storage in Duanesburg, reporting multiple storage units had been broken into, and items were missing.
The investigation determined Mr. Cruz and Ms. Lohmeyer entered the property numerous times and destroyed locks on 91 storage units to allow access.
Troopers said the pair stole items out of the multiple storage units.
Both were arrested during a traffic stop in Princetown, and transported to SP Princetown for processing.
Both were brought to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
