3 claim T-J Trivia Mania crown

3/30/2023

The Times-Journal’s recent Business Trivia Mania was one of the more difficult in the genre.
Published in the March 9 T-J, the 10 questions focused on bygone names of Schoharie County businesses.
Devised by T-J proofreader and trivia expert Pete Lindemann, Business Mania fit the theme of that week’s paper, which included the annual Progress magazine that features local businesses.
“This Trivia Mania was a lot of fun for our contestants,” said T-J Sales Manager Bruce Tryon. “The business theme was relevant because it came with our business profile, Progress.
“Pete and I are working on another one. Stay tuned.”
And although the contest was tough, three winners came from the field of 101 entries.
Carol Shulte was first, Jeff Mattice second and Brian LaVine third. All three will receive gift cards to local businesses.
