T-J adds to sales staff

Dan Dial joined the Times-Journal sales team on Monday.
Mr. Dial will sell advertising and serve customers in Middleburgh, Schoharie and Sharon Springs.
He joins Bruce Tryon, sales manager, and Erynne Ansel-McCabe on the sales force.
“Dan is a perfect fit,” said Mr. Tryon. “He brings energy, enthusiasm and experience to the T-J.”
Mr. Dial has worked in sales and merchandising at Middleburgh Hardware, Lowe’s in Hudson and at Clayton Homes in Spencer, West Virginia. He was also business manager for Spencer Newspapers in West Virginia.
While Mr. Dial will handle weekly accounts for the T-J, Ms. Ansel-McCabe will work on special publications, such as the T-J’s Travelogue, Fair Book, Hometown Cooking and Progress, among others.
“I like the way this shapes up,” said T-J Publisher Jim Poole. “Dan will join Bruce as our go-to weekly guys, and Erynne will target special projects that are important to readers.”
Mr. Dial and his wife, Laura Wyman, live in Middleburgh and have a daughter, Jenna, and grandson, Arlo, who live in Colorado.
In his spare time, Mr. Dial writes: poetry, prose and short stories.
