Musical storytellers in Worcester

Keith Torgan and Barbara Siesel, acclaimed musical storytellers will present their production of Green Golly & Her Golden Flute at the Worcester Schenevus Library.
This comic introduction to classical music, inspired by the tale of Rapunzel is for audiences of all ages. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, July 8 at 11am.
Green Golly & Her Golden Flute, a Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winning story and musical journey, serves as a gateway to the world of classical music for children. Mr. Torgan and Ms. Siesel blend storytelling, music, and audience engagement to create an immersive experience that fosters a love for music and stimulates the imagination.
During the performance, attendees will be transported to the topsy turvy world of Rapunzel, where the melodies of Green Golly’s golden flute intertwine with the hilarious narrative. The performance’s seamless collaboration and dynamic stage presence bring the story to life, captivating young minds and igniting a passion for classical music.
The Parents’ Choice Award Winning storybook of Green Golly & Her Golden Flute will be available for purchase at the event. This book allows children to continue the adventure beyond the performance, deepening their connection to the music and the story.
Furthermore, Mr. Torgan and Ms. Siesel will introduce their newest creation, the Little Kids Little Songs Illustrated Album, a fusion of a picture book and record album. Written and illustrated by Mr. Torgan, and featuring performances by he and Ms. Siesel, this offering transcends traditional books or CDs, immersing young listeners in a visual world of little songs for little kids.
The album is produced and engineered by Bob Bralove, renowned as the electronics wizard of the Grateful Dead.
