Voters in the Capital Region BOCES component districts and the City School District of Albany Tuesday voted to approve the construction of a storage building at the Career & Technical Education Center – Schoharie Campus, 1,007-44.
The new five-bay, 4,500-square-foot garage will be used to store equipment and materials.
Once the equipment from inside the building is moved to the new garage, BOCES will use its existing storage space to open a new welding program at the Schoharie CTE facility.
One of the most popular Career & Technical Education programs offered, welding is currently only available to students on the Career & Technical Education Center – Albany Campus.
There will be no tax impact from building the new storage garage.
