Two of the three men arrested in the 2022 murder of Connor Delaney of Warnerville are facing more than 15 years in State Prison.
Friday, Devon Hunter, 19, of Albany, and Jeffrey McGough, 19, of Schenectady, both pleaded guilty to charges of:
• First degree manslaughter, a Class B violent felony.
• First degree robbery, a Class B violent felony.
• Aggravated cruelty to animals, a Class E felony.
The pleas came before Judge Peter Lynch in Schoharie County Court.
Hunter, who shot Mr. Delaney, faces 20 years in State Prison with five years post-release supervision.
McGough faces a sentence of 17.5 years with five years supervision.
Sentencing will be November 3 at 9:30am.
According to District Attorney Susan Mallery, at January 29, 2022, “the defendants, personally and acting in concert with one another,” illegally entered Mr. Delaney’s home.
They forcibly stole property from him and “in the course of the commission of the crime, or the immediate flight therefrom,” shot Mr. Delaney multiple times.
During the commission of the robbery, they intentionally shot and killed Mr. Delaney’s beloved dog, Bo, with aggravated District Attorney Mallery said.
Also arrested in 2022, after an investigation that stretched into May, was an unidentified 17-year-old.

In sentencing for a July 2019 murder, Ryan Oldorff, 21, of Cobleskill, was sentenced to 20 years in State Prison/five years post-release supervision, last Wednesday.
Oldorff was indicted on December 23, 2019 for shooting his father, Timothy Oldorff, in the head with a .22 rifle while he was sleeping at his Cobleskill home.
On June 13, 2023, Oldorff pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter, a Class B felony.
The Oldorff family submitted victim impact statements at the sentencing, where Judge Ryan McAllister denied the defendant’s request for youthful offender status and a reduced sentence.
Timothy Oldorff survived for several hours after the shooting, which reports said followed a dispute between the two.
Ryan Oldorff was 17 and a senior at Cobleskill-Richmondville High School at the time.
