On Wednesday, Cobleskill State Police arrested Dennis C. Taylor, 37, of Cobleskill, on charges of burglary and assault after Troopers said he attacked the resident of a Spring Street apartment with a hammer, causing injuries.
According to Troopers, on Wednesday, October 4 at about 11:02am, they responded to a home on Spring Street for the report of a physical dispute with a weapon.
An investigation determined that Mr. Taylor reportedly entered an apartment at the location without permission and a verbal altercation ensued.
Police said that during the argument, Mr. Taylor struck the victim with a hammer, causing injuries.
The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Mr. Taylor was arrested at SP Cobleskill and processed; he was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault.
He was then transported to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
