Legacy of Love is Sunday

Legacy of Love, the fundraising committee for The Arc Lexington in Schoharie, will host its 2023 Cooking with Love benefit event, a unique dining experience, on Sunday, November 5 from 3-6 p.m. at Settles Hill Banquet Center in Altamont. There is a charge.
Celebrity chefs, representing a variety of professions and community affiliations, will serve up an array of homemade appetizers, entrees, soups and desserts to raise money for people with disabilities in Schoharie County.
Chefs will also be competing for the “Golden Oven Mitt Award,” given to the chef who raises the most funds for Legacy of Love and the “Silver Spoon Award,” given to the chef whose dish was voted the crowd favorite.
Chefs participating in this year’s event include: Jim Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Kevin Calacone, Bill Crankshaw, Alfred D’Alauro, Mario Diaz, Martin Diaz, The Voice’s Season 8 winner Sawyer Fredricks, Jason Gaughan, Floyd Guernsey, Wally Hart, Paul Miles-Matthias, Tyrone Mitchell, WTEN News personality Ryan Peterson and his son Charlie; Jim Presley, Riley Proctor, Zach Reinhart, Wink Sandler, John Seebold, Brian Smith, Bob Stevenot, Assemblyman Chris Tague, Mike Wellman and Johnathan Wilsey.
DJ Patrick del Rosario will serve as emcee for the event.
In addition to the opportunity to sample the chef’s delicacies, the event will also feature a Wine Grab Bag for attendees.
The event will conclude with the announcement of chef award winners and the drawing for winners of Legacy of Love’s “Cooking with Cash” raffle offering three cash prizes.
