Cobleskill's Cop Board seeks vols

12/3/2023

The Village of Cobleskill is accepting applications for volunteers interested in serving on the Cobleskill Police Department Citizen Advisory Board.
In 2021, the Village of Cobleskill formed the Cobleskill Police Department Citizen Advisory Board to provide the Police Department with the community's perspective on crime, safety, and neighborhood issues.
CAB also suggests improvements in local police services.
There are five community seats on the CAB; the Chief of Police and the Mayor also serve on the board.
One community seat is open for a new appointment by the Village Board at its December 19, meeting.
Community members serve for two years with possible re-appointment. CAB meets two to four times per year. Applicants must live in or own a business in the village.
Anyone interested in serving on CAB must send a letter of interest to the Village office by December 15, that details past and current community involvement, why they are interested, and how they will contribute to CAB. Call the Village office with any questions, (518)234-3891.
