SEEC walk, talk with "curb appeal" architect Tuesday

3/9/2024

SEEC will host a talk and walk-about with Rick Hauser of In.Site: Architecture on Tuesday, March 12, as part of its Placemaking: Curb Appeal grant program.
In.Site.Architecture is known for its innovative design solutions and focus on community.
From 2:30-5:30pm, beginning at SEEC’s 287 Main offices, Mr. Hauser will lead a walk-about for stakeholders, elected officials, and SEEC associates, exploring Schoharie’s unique historic districts, “gathering insights for informed designs.”
At 7pm, back at 287 Main, Mr. Hauser will speak on the significance of “public-private-people partnerships” in community development.
Mr. Hauser is mayor of the Village Perry and led efforts there to secure a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant, coordinating hundreds of thousands of dollars from New York Main Street grant programs, and leveraging Historic Tax Credits to make many small community and individual building projects viable.
There will be an opportunity for questions and answers and attendees can enter a drawing to earn five hours of free consultation from In. Site: Architecture for things like facade sketches and attracting public and private investment.
RSVP for the walk-about and talk by contacting SEEC Program Administrator Trish Bergan at admin@seecny.org, (518) 517-1700.
