Fred Risse’s 12-lot Valley View Estates subdivision got the final OK from the Village of Middleburgh Monday.
Mr. Risse plans to sell lots-only at the 151 Main Street site; 11 of them residential and one commercial.
The sites, along new roads Valley View and Vroman’s Way, will be hooked into village water, but require their own individual septic systems.
The County Planning Commission recommended approval of the project—with a couple of conditions.
The first, that the hours of operation during construction be limited to 9am-7pm weekends and holidays—no problem, the Village Board and Mr. Risse said.
The second, requiring sidewalks, which the Village Board overruled.
In order to link up with existing sidewalks, sidewalks at the subdivision would require a crosswalk across Route 145, Mr. Risse said; plus, trustees pointed out, sidewalks weren’t required at two other village subdivisions.
