Long-distance walker hiking for Joshua Project
5/24/2024 |
Jason Pelton is using his feet to raise money for the Joshua Project.
Mr. Pelton, who lives in Broome Center, is hiking a section of the Finger Lakes Trail, and donors can contribute a lump sum or make a per-mile pledge.
Mr. Pelton started May 18 and will continue until May 27, covering 95 miles.
The Joshua Project, which depends heavily on donations, aids needy Schoharie County families with food, furniture and other goods.
In addition, the Joshua Project is raising money for its new building on Route 145 in East Cobleskill.
Donations for Mr. Pelton’s hike can be dropped off at the offertory basket at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Middleburgh or online at joshuaschoharie.org.
Or checks can be mailed to the Joshua Project, PO Box 413, Middleburgh, NY 12122.
