Cobleskill Mayor Becky Stanton-Terk is drumming up participation for the July 4 parade in the village.
The parade will form on Campus Drive at 6pm on the 4th and will step off on Main Street at 7pm.
Mayor Stanton-Terk is looking for floats, “clubs, organizations, teams and individuals.
“Anyone who wants to participate,” she said.
Mayor Stanton-Terk has reached out to area fire departments to take part, as well.
The parade will march to the Fairgrounds, where there will be no July 4 events.
There is a horse show at the Fairgrounds, however, and Mayor Stanton-Terk asked that drivers don’t touch off lights or sirens there.
The parade is funded entirely by donations, which are still needed. Anyone can donate at NBT Bank for the Friends of the Fourth account.
Applications to participate in the parade are on the Cobleskill Partnership Inc. Facebook page and on the Village of Cobleskill webpage. Applications must be turned in by June 29.
Fireworks will touch off from the former Rodeway Inn at about 9:30pm.
