There’s been another arrest in the November shooting death of Jeffrey Mickle, 41, whose body was found concealed under a truck cap in a Town of Broome junkyard, shot multiple times.
Jenna Fahrenkopf, formerly known as Jenna Beretz, was arrested by the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office Saturday on charges of first-degree manslaughter after she turned herself in.
Deputies had been looking for Ms. Fahrenkopf, who they said was believed to be in Scranton, Pennsylvania “with strong ties to Middleburgh,” when they asked for the public’s help in locating her.
In May, Walter Fahrenkopf, 40, of Fulton pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, a Class B violent felony, and concealment of a human corpse, a Class E felony, in the November 29, 2023 death of Mr. Mickle.
He is due to be sentenced on November 4, when he’s expected to receive a prison term of 20 years.
Also in May, Michael Todtschinder, 24, of Pennsylvania and Middleburgh was indicted by the Schoharie County Grand Jury on charges of second-degree murder, a class A-I felony, first-degree manslaughter, a Class B felony; five counts of tampering with physical evidence, a Class E felony; second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a Class C felony, and concealment of a human corpse, a Class E felony in Mr. Mickle’s death.
Mr. Todtschinder was arraigned in the Schoharie County Court on May 30 and pleaded not guilty.
The Schoharie County Court set bail at $200,000 cash, $400,000 bail bond or $800,000 partially secured bond and Mr. Todtschinder was remanded to the Schoharie County Jail.
