There’s plenty to do in Schoharie County this weekend.
On Saturday, Schoharie is hosting its seventh annual Lily Festival, Jefferson has its Heritage Day, and on Sunday, the New York Power Authority is hosting the 53rd Antique Auto Show in North Blenheim.
Sponsored by the Schoharie Promotional Association, the Lily Festival is at the Lily Park, near the Old Stone Fort in Schoharie.
There’s free admission, and hours are 10am-3pm.
Highlights include walks along the lily trails, which are in full bloom, but there’s much more.
There are more than 75 vendors of arts and crafts, a magic show, the Hill Country Cloggers, a dog snow, birds of prey, trivia contest, kids’ activities, lily sales, ‘What is it?’ and ‘Around the USA’ games and more.
Heritage Day in Jefferson starts at 9am with Professor Polito under the big tent on the village green.
Starting at 10am, there will be antique cars, wildlife art, , dunk tank, dime toss, silent auction, children’s games and face painting.
A parade follows at 11am.
Under the big tent, there will be gospel singers at noon, Patty and the Migrains at 2pm Mike Herman at 5pm and Blues Maneuver at 7:30pm.
The Jefferson Historical Society will have the Museum of Jefferson History open at 10am. The Society will also have the Fuller District Schoolhouse open and will have a quilt show in the Methodist Church on the green.
The Schoharie Valley Region Antique Automobile Club of America is hosting the auto show at the Power Authority Visitors’ Center starting at 9am Sunday.
Held rain or shine and with free admission, the show will include hundreds of antique and classic cars and trucks.
There will be a barbecue and food vendors, along with kids’ activities and tours of Lansing Manor.
Proceeds will benefit BOCES scholarships, the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, the Cobleskill Elks club, Leatherstocking Honor Flight and Marathon for a Better Life.
