Fair kids seek auction donations

As summer ticks down to the August 6-11 Schoharie County Sunshine Fair, Youth in Agriculture is once again seeking donations for its fundraising auction.
The auction will be Saturday, August 10 at 4pm at the Livestock Barn.
Proceeds will support prizes for youth show entries, both animal and non-animal.
YAA’s goals are to promote the future of agriculture in Schoharie County, support 4-H and FFA at the Sunshine Fair, and give youth an opportunity to sell their agricultural projects and products.
Auction organizers are looking for donations of items that represent agriculture.
Ideas include a bushel of corn, potatoes or apples (gift certificate), hay or straw; exhibitors can donate their entry—jams, jellies, honey or maple are among the possibilities.
Auction donations can be in full or on consignment with a 15 percent commission.
Cash donations are also welcome and will be restricted to be used for the youth awards only.
Auction items that are not entries can be brought to the Fair Office on Sunday, August 4.
Auction items that are entries can be brought to the Livestock Barn by 1pm, Saturday, August 10.
