Only handful of local races in November

There’s only a handful of local races on this year’s November 5 ballot.
In Senate District 51, Democrat Michele Frazier is challenging incumbent Republican Peter Oberacker.
In Assembly District 102, Democrat Janet Tweed is challenging incumbent Republican Chris Tague.
In town races:
Conesville—Jamie Durkin(R) is running for justice and Ward Apgar (R) is running for highway superintendent.
Middleburgh—Erynne Ansel-McCabe (D) and Wes Laraway (R) are running against each other for councilman.
Richmondville—John Leggieri (R) is running for town justice.
Schoharie—Ben Oevering (R) is running unopposed for supervisor and Bob Montione (D) and Clinton Manchester Jr. (R) are running against each other for councilman.
Wright—Robin Brion (R) is running for justice.
There are also seats to be filled, with no candidates listed, for Broome assessor (two), Carlisle justice, and Seward highway superintendent.
In village races:
Cobleskill--There are four candidates for two trustee positions: RJ Freitag, Howard Burt Jr., Ruth VanDeusen, and Tom Johnstone.
Esperance—Daniel Defilipps is running for trustee.
Schoharie—There are three candidates for two trustee positions: David Ornoski, Rebecca DeGroff, and Jeff Palmer.
Sharon Springs—Mayor Denise Kelly is running for a full term; there is also a trustee vacancy after Arianna Parsons stepped down after the filing deadline to become deputy village clerk.
Richmondville—There are two trustee positions on the ballot with no candidates listed.
