Final Hazard Mitigation Workshop September 25, online
9/13/2024 |
The Schoharie County Department of Planning and Community Development will be hosting a final Hazard Mitigation Workshop for municipal leaders and the public on Wednesday, September 25 from 6:30-8:30pm.
This workshop will be held online only over Zoom; the link is below.
Municipalities who haven’t had a representative at either of the two previous meetings should participate.
The workshop will cover:
• What hazard mitigation is and why it’s important.
• County-wide and municipality specific hazard scoring for the 2024 Hazard Mitigation Plan update.
• Proposed hazard mitigation projects that municipalities would like to undertake.
• Critical facilities and shelters in each municipality.
• Discussion of hazards of concern, “problem areas” in municipalities, and critical facilities and shelters that may not have been captured so far.
The workshop will be tailored to those in attendance using live polling at the beginning of the presentation, and the meeting will be recorded and posted on the Schoharie County website afterwards.
