So, what color is your tractor?
6/3/2008 |
With a nod to June’s dairy cows and in fact, all of agriculture, the Times-Journal and the Schoharie County Farm Bureau have launched a coloring contest that asks the question:
“What color is your tractor?”
Beginning in the June 4 Times-Journal, again in this issue, and finally in the upcoming “Salute to Agriculture,” the T-J is running a tractor drawing/coloring contest with a “frame” that artists of any age—kids to seniors—can fill with a picture of their favorite tractor, no matter what color it is.
Rules and regulations are listed alongside the frame.
All entries will be hung at the T-J for judging by the Farm Bureau and the deadline for entries is 5pm Friday, June 27.
Winners will be announced in July.
The Farm Bureau is providing the prizes: A $50 savings bond for first place and $25 savings bonds for both second and third.
“Everyone wants a green tractor now,” said Farm Bureau Director John Radliff, with a nod to John Deere’s massive marketing campaign.
But there are red tractors, blue tractors, orange tractors…There might be colors out there—or color combinations—no one has even ever thought of. Let your imaginations run wild.”
The contest is open to everyone but professional artists.
