Dogs to have their day Saturday

6/10/2009

Dogs and their owners will have their day in the sun this Saturday at SUNY Cobleskill.
It’s the Dog Days of Summer Dog Stroll, a fundraiser for the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley.
Besides the dog walk itself, there will be a blessing of the animals, vendors, demonstrations, photos, games and contests for dogs and their owners.
One highlight will be the Pooch Pageant, which will showcase 10 dogs the Shelter has up for adoption.
“We have a lot going on, and it should be fun for everyone––the dogs and their owners,” said Shelter President Mary Romain.
Admission is $10 for adults, and there’s a free tee shirt with each admission. Kids and dogs enter free.
