Schoharie County’s Fourth started off with a parade and ended up with--what else?--fireworks Saturday as the crowds lined Main Street, Cobleskill to celebrate
In between, there was music, plenty of fun and games for both the young and the old, and lots of Fourth food to enjoy.
The annual event countywide event, held in Cobleskill, is put together by the Friends of the Fourth and funded by donations.
Parade participants included Scouts, Historic Treasures, the Cheer Dome and the Mustang squads, local politicians, fire departments, and horses, to name a few.
From downtown, the crowd moved to the Fairgrounds, where the Mustangs supervised games for kids., Peaceful Country entertained with country music, and there was more than enough food to go around.
Fireworks at dusk capped off the weekend.
The Fourth celebration is organized by the Friends of the Fourth, who hold fundraisers throughout the year.
The entire event is by donation.
