Iroquois Festival Marks 28 years

For nearly three decades the Iroquois Indian Festival has been a Labor Day Weekend mainstay and this year was no different.
The 28th annual Iroquois Indian Museum event drew hundreds to Howes Cave for two days of Iroquois food, art, storytelling, and wildlife displays.
There were favorite children’s activities, including beading, local history displays, and visitors were able to tour the museum and grounds.
Once again, though, it was the Sky Dancers from Six Nations who drew the biggest crowds.
Ongoing through December 31 at the museum is a special exhibit, “Native Americans in the Performing Arts: From Ballet to Rock ‘n Roll.”
