Cobleskill Village Trustee Bob LaPietra was sentenced to three years probation and 75 hours of community service in Schoharie County Court Wednesday on charges of offering a false instrument for filing, according to court officials.
Mr. LaPietra, 66, pled guilty in May to three counts of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a Class A misdemeanor, said a court official.
He was sentenced to three years probation on each count but they will be served at the same time, the court said.
The Trustee faced 30 counts in an indictment focusing on nominating petitions he submitted for the 2008 village election.
