Schoharie County dairy farmers are invited to have “Coffee with your Neighbors,” at the Cobleskill Best Western on Sunday, November 22 from 10:30am-noon.
The sponsors of the coffee hour are hoping that farmers will come together to discuss the realities they are facing on their farms in the wake of record-low milk prices.
Meetings with legislators and others have accomplished little.
Organizers of the event want dairy farmers to know that there is continued local support for making changes to the dairy pricing systems, and are hoping to find creative ways to sustain dairy farms as the backbone of our rural working landscape.
