T-J launches 2009 Star search

12/2/2009

It’s 18 years and counting for the Times-Journal Star and 2009 nominations are now open.
Begun in 1992, the Times-Journal Star recognizes someone who’s influenced the community in a positive way over the past year.
Past winners have come from a variety of fields, including education, agriculture, the arts, and community service.
This year’s deadline to nominate someone as T-J Star is Saturday, December 26.
Nominations can be made by:
• Phone, 234-2515.
• Email, tjournalnews@yahoo.com. (Put “Star” in the subject line.)
• Fax, 234-7898.
• Mail, Times Journal, attn. Patsy Nicosia, editor, PO Box 339, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
For every nomination—and don’t be afraid to make more than one—we need the reason the person being nominated deserves to be the 2009 Star along with a way to get a hold of you in case we need more information.
The 2009 Star will be announced the first week of January.
