Valley's Rise 'n Shine to celebrate...eggs

Rise ‘n Shine is a new and eclectic Schoharie Valley-wide celebration of spring featuring many of the Valley’s unique attractions, family farms and boutiques with a focus on roosters, chickens and eggs.
Participants in this year’s kick-off, this Saturday, April 10 will include Guernsey’s Nursery, Wellington’s Herbs and Spices, The Apple Barrel, Schoharie Valley Farms, Magee Realty, Century 21 Rural Estates, The George Mann Tory Tavern, Generations Antiques & Gifts, Morningsun Traders, The Conglomerate, Apgar-Smith Gallery, The Iroquois Indian Museum with The Old Stone Fort Museum, A Taste of Europe, Landis Arboretum, Wedgewood Inn, 124 River Street Photography and the New York Power Authority and there will be a chicken BBQ by the Schoharie Kiwanis.
There are many individual events planned such as sunrise breakfast, make a May Basket, home tours, early technology demonstrations with Native Americans, and spring planting tips and discounts.
Also on Saturday, the first annual “rooster reveal” will happen throughout the Valley, with more than 20 large and artist-painted roosters featured.
A map to all these events and a chance to win a Schoharie Valley gift basket is available from any of the participants.
