Cops arrest 5 on drug charges

The Cobleskill Police Department has announced several arrests after completion of an investigation into the sale of controlled substances in the Village of Cobleskill.
The investigation was conducted with the assistance of the Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office over several weeks.
Evidence was presented to a Schoharie County Grand Jury panel, and arrest warrants were issued for the suspects.
Suspects arrested/charged as follows:
• July 1, Todd A. Wetsell, age 23, of Richmondville, on two counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony. He was arraigned in county court and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is to return to the Schoharie County Court on July 7 for further action.
He is alleged to have sold heroin in the Village of Cobleskill on two separate occasions.
• July 1, Marcus M. Toland, age 27, of Schenectady, on one count of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony. He was arraigned in county court and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
He is to return to Schoharie County Court on July 7 for further action.
He is alleged to have sold heroin in the Village of Cobleskill.
• July 2, Jeffrey W. Jones, age 57, of Cobleskill, on one count of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and one count of fourth degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class C felony. He was arraigned in county court and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is to return to Schoharie County Court on July 7 for further action.
He is alleged to have sold prescription medications in the Village of Cobleskill on two separate occasions.
• July 2, Nicholas A. Poleto, age 22, of Colonie, on two counts of third degree criminal sale of marihuana, a class E felony. He was remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment on the charges.
He is alleged to have sold over an ounce of marihuana in the Village of Cobleskill on two separate occasions.
• July 6, Billy J. Thorn, age 31, of Worcester, on one count of third degree criminal sale of marihuana and one count of fourth degree criminal sale of marihuana, a class A misdemeanor. He was arraigned in County Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is to return to Schoharie County Court on July 7 for further action.
He is alleged to have sold marihuana in the Village of Cobleskill on two separate occasions.
