Times-Journal readers can win some quick cash next week.
The T-J will have its Windfall Cash Grab, a one-time contest to win money, in the September 15 issue.
It’s simple. Photos of license plates will be published on the 15th; readers who see their plates can bring their car to the T-J office and win money.
“Kids are going back to school. Parents are going back work after vacations. It’s a time when people need a little extra cash,” said T-J Publisher Jim Poole.
“It’s only going to run one week, so people will have to pay attention.”
Photographers will take pictures of 12 license plates. Next week’s T-J will display the photos throughout the paper.
When a reader sees his plate, he should bring his car to the office, have the plate verified, and pick one of 12 unmarked envelopes.
Each envelope will have at least $25 in it.
“Some people get their paper later than others, so it’s fair to give all 12 winners a random chance,” Mr. Poole said.
The photos will be published only in the issue of the 15th. Winners must bring their cars to the T-J office by September 22 in order to collect cash.
