A Worcester man was killed Friday morning when he became pinned under an older model Ford 8N tractor in the Town of Wright.
Cobleskill State Police and Schoharie County Sheriff’s deputies found Adolph Schrull Jr., 40, deceased under the tractor in a field about 200 feet west of Larry Hill Road in the Town of Wright.
Police said an investigation revealed Mr. Schrull and a friend were attempting to remove an old steel hay rake from the brush by hooking a chain to it and pulling it free.
When they were trying to free the rake, the front wheels of the tractor came off the ground and the tractor flipped backwards onto itself while Mr. Schrull was still in the driver’s seat, police said.
An autopsy was performed which confirmed Mr. Schrull’s death was accidental and no charges were filed, police said.
