Cobleskill’s newest drug store in planning a January opening.
Mike DeAngelis, director for public relations for CVS’s Retail Operations, said the store plans to open at its only Schoharie County location in late January.
An official opening date will be released as the details firm up, he said.
The lag between the apparent completition of the store and its opening has had some in the community asking questions about the delay, but Mr. DeAngelis said everything’s still on schedule.
“We were planning the late January opening all along,” he said.
The 13,600 square-foot drug store is located at the corner of East Main Street and Trestle Lane.
It will include a drive-thru pharmacy and Mr. DeAngelis said CVS stores typically employ about 25 people.
That’s been another question—when CVS will start hiring to fill those slots—and Mr. DeAngelis said prospective employees can apply online or at any CVS store.
If there are still job openings when the store opens, he said CVS will advertise locally.
