3rd teen arrested in Cobleskill Diner break-in

12/8/2010

Cobleskill Police on Friday caught up with the third teenager believed to be connected with the break-in and trashing of the Cobleskill Diner two weeks ago.
Police charged the teen, a 15-year-old male, with fifth-degree conspiracy, according to Sergeant Rich Bialkowski.
The charge is a misdemeanor.
Last week, police arrested two 17-year-olds and charged them with stealing a pickup truck, breaking into the diner and destroying property there.
Officers believed then that a third teen was involved.
“We had been looking for him for a couple of days and found him Friday,” Sergeant Bialkowski said. “He confessed to being involved.”
The younger teen “kind of went along with the crowd,” Sergeant Bialkowski said.
“They all talked about going to the diner and breaking in.”
Because of his age, the 15-year-old was given a ticket to appear before Schoharie County Probation.
